New Hair! New Outfit!

Over the weekend I finally decided to change up my hair because the roots were starting to get crazy.

(ew.)

I trimmed my bangs and my ends at the start of the week, and performed some hardcore conditioning treatments all week because I had decided to go WHITE!

So first off was the bleaching session. I accidentally ended up letting it sit for over an hour!! @_@ Don't do that, kids. The purple was really holding on! This is what it looked like after I washed the bleach out.

(my goodness.)

Ugly, isn't it? haha. Luckily, I have this little buddy to whip my hair into shape!

Manic Panic Virgin Snow toner to get your hair into white shades. It's a work in progress, and I bought some developer today to make my hair even whiter, but after letting the Virgin Snow work its magic for a couple of hours, I ended up with hair like this:

As you can see, it's not completely white just yet. (Some spots more than others. There's even still some light blue in there) I have to work with the remaining toner and add the new developer. Then I'm going to be doing lots of olive oil treatments and conditioning so get rid of that 'just fried by bleach' look. :>

In other news, I stopped by Forever 21 and picked out a cute outfit today after school. I've been craving a long skirt, and luckily I was able to squeeze into a super cute size small.

Shirt: $6.60
Skirt: $22

Both the shirt and skirt are from Forever 21. :) New favorite outfit? I think so.

Fan Friday

Looks like Fan Friday is starting to get more... occasional. Haha. I apologize for my lack of posting!! School sure is busy. Without further excuse, here's the most recent Fan Friday.

1. ) Rarity
Rarity is the best pony!! Plus our purple hair matches right now. :) I'm on a MLP kick right now. Specifically Rarity.

2.) Doctor Who

This is my exact scenario. Zoe's boyfriend got us into Doctor Who and now we can't stop!! Tennant is my favorite doctor and Rose is my favorite companion. :) Rory and Donna are also pretty fabulous!

3.) Billie Piper
While we're on the subject of Doctor Who, I may as well mention Billie Piper who I am suddenly a huge fan of. I don't even know where my love for her came from. Poof!

4.) The Perfect Outfit
This would be my ideal outfit. I would be obligated to wear it to all my interviews and occasional dates. It is perfection. <3

5.) White Hair
My next plan...!! I hope it goes well. I'm very nervous... I've been treating and conditioning my hair like crazy to get ready for this!! I bought a great red hat to wear with it. <3

6.) My sweet-as-heck new figures
My two all-time favorite characters; Ciel and Hitagi. So much love for them! They look cute together. Though I'm still waiting for Hitagi's attachments~

7.) Drarry
Don't hate!!! Appreciate!! Haha. :)

That's all for now... I've been getting packages all week. Occasionally gifts, but mostly books for English class. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to do homework all weekend!!

Visitor

My cousin Mark visited yesterday!! He's travelling down from Michigan on his way back to L.A., his current hometown. He works on various random projects down there, usually as a gaffer on sets for shows or mini-series. Very cool. :> I'm aiming to live with or near him once I graduate.

We are very cool.

We ate at Gino's pizza and had deep-dish vegetarian pizza. It was good, but so much food!! I could only have one slice. :) Then we walked all over Navy Pier. I hadn't seen all of it yet, but there was a lot of cool new things to see. Tourist season is winding down, so it was pretty empty.

Mark is awesome and I'll miss him bunches. :> I'm really glad that he stopped by on his way down, though!!

The Condo! + Hitagi

Zoe ever so kindly cleaned up the condo today while I was still at school! Since this is the nicest it's looked for a while, I thought I'd share.

Zoe's photo display rig. You can get these at Ikea, but we recommend getting your own string to hang the pictures.

Some of our plants and decor. This is on top of the bookcase.

The "bear and chair" corner.

More of our plants and my beloved Draco and Harry set up. xD

The inspiration wall keeps growing!

And for some more exciting news... My Hitagi Senjougahara figure came in yesterday!! She's gorgeous and I love her so.

I’ve been dreaming of having her since I first laid eyes on her promo pictures…Now I just have to find her some pegs so I can set up that glorious ‘first pose…’ <3 This is my first Good Smile figure, and I love it. I’ve never had a figure where everything fits so perfectly together!!

And now... for the rest of the place!!

Our bathroom of eternal mirrors....

...and the rest of the place!!! It's a little hard to see, so I apologize.

I also apologize for the lack of updates, but I must admit that I have joined yet another fandom (this needs to stop)... Doctor Who. Zoe and I have been watching an average of 5 episodes a day. It's pretty ridiculous(ly awesome).

Early Chicago Adventures

These past two days have been spent walking around Chicago with Zoe and her boyfriend Jonathan (whom I refer to as Jojo). A couple of days ago, we were going to have fun at the Shedd Aquarium but the line was freakishly long, so instead we went out for sandwiches. :> Zoe wore a ridiculously awesome 11th Doctor themed outfit. Here's a snapshot.

Yes, we got into Doctor Who and now there is no turning back. I need to stop falling into fandoms so easily.

After a day of running around and eating delicious sandwiches, we decided it would be best to go to the aquarium the next day, but early in the morning instead. We arrived at 9 in the morning and there was hardly any line at all! (If you ever go to Shedd, make sure you go EARLY)

It was necessary for us to go to Shedd as soon as we could because they're having a special jellyfish exhibit and Zoe's favorite animal is, of course, jellyfish.

It was really a beautiful exhibit, but we were generally disappointed by the lack of BIG jellyfish.

In the gift shop they had some amazing seal stuffed animals!! SO CUTE. I was dying all over the floor. However, this was really misleading and we walked all around the aquarium looking for a seal exhibit. The closest thing was a sea lion, but he wouldn't even look at me. :I

Long story short, there were no seals. Just amazing plush toys that were way too expensive.

Of course, there were other animals to look at!

But some were actually pretty terrifying. :'D

That thing was terrifyingly large.

Then we went home and read bad fanfiction. Such is my life. On the walk home, the wind was CRAZY. My first experience of Chicago's notorious winds.

Chicago really is such a beautiful city, though. I'm so grateful to be living here with one of my very close friends.

xoxo

Skype

With the boyfriend. Things have been hard, but I thank Skype for helping me out. ;)
Here are some very cool-looking instagram-esque photos I grabbed from our most recent Skype conversation.

So awesome that Tom now has his own tag. Let's hope I get to use it more and more often!!
